So I've started doing a thing!
Every Saturday, I'm endeavoring to go on some sort of travel adventure to explore different outdoor swimming holes in Washington State! I've lived here all my life and never ventured to explore all the beaches and lakes and waterfalls and nooks that this beautiful state has to offer! And now, with pools still closed for the duration and national parks back up and running, I've decided this mer doesn't want to wait any longer to swim her little heart out! There are plenty of opportunities for mermaid adventures out there, just waiting for me to find them!
Now, the beauty of these weekly adventures is that I have NO IDEA what these places are like. My first adventure was to Penrose Point National Park Beach and BOY WAS IT BARNACLY. That was something I did not foresee!
And the tide came in so quickly, I could hardly record without having to immediately move my computer. But that's what adventures are about, yes?
My next adventure was to Whatcom Falls and it was truly beautiful.
More of a chance to swim, with the 8-ft pool at the base of this little waterfall, and it was a lot of fun. Cold, but not unbearable!
