I've been devoting so much time to my YouTube and Instagram, I outright forgot about my blog! The last post I made was the beginning of the first quarantine in 2020 (how old does that make me sound already??) It's been a wild ride--the quarantine spun me into a straight of weekly and sometimes bi-weekly mermaid videos and nearly daily Instagram posts of new projects, photoshoots, tails, and adventures.

After a few months of these photoshoot, a friend of mine from work named Jane offered to give me a photoshoot for my birthday, which significantly elevated the quality of my portfolio and sent us into a series of absolutely stunning shoots.

If not for her, I would not have gained the ability to begin staging my own photoshoots and producing professional quality work with what I have at my disposal.

Most recently, I've begun an adventure of finding/building/maintaining my own mermaid-themed apartment in Portland. It's been hard work but what an adventure! I've returned to the blog because I think some of the adventures are a bit too long to cover on Instagram, and could compliment well my Merrily Merrowed YouTube channel. Often I do photoshoots, but you can only upload so many on Instagram and describe so much before it gets tedious--it just isn't that kind of platform. People want their Instagram posts short, sweet, and pretty--and I often need space for elaboration.

So, here it begins! Chapter two of my mermaid-life adventures! I will likely begin with posts regarding my biggest photoshoots to date, as well as various update posts on current projects. I hope to grow my social media pages into places where people can be inspired, encouraged and reminded not to take themselves too seriously.

Until my next post!
