On my way to my weekly adventure, I saw a new coffeeshop had opened near my house and just had to try.
Now, as opposed to my pre-Covid stance of trying to sample every coffee place and bakery I could find, I have now tried to make it so I do not have to rely on others to make my espresso or serve me in any way. A lot of people are stretching themselves thin in order to try and keep serving their community despite a global pandemic, and I do not want to make it any more difficult for anyone along the way.
However, I have also heard that an estimated 30% of small businesses that closed will not reopen, so in this case, I thought I would support my community and try it out.
A small hole-in-the-wall in the Mill Creek Town Center, which is really a nice complex.
It's the type of cafe that offers sandwiches and soups with just a few pastries on the side. I had a spinach and feta pastry and an almond latte. (This is also a big reason why cafe/bakery 'reviews' are kind of a bust for me--my diet is somewhat restrictive and I'm going to be eating/drinking the same boring foods just about every time.)
But, everything was delicious--very good coffee and one of the best pastries I've had in awhile. Go check it out if you're in the area!
